Directors | Elie Fahed

Elie Fahed is an award-winning Lebanese director known for his emotionally driven, visually poetic storytelling. A graduate of the Lebanese University’s Fine Arts Institute, his early short films – most notably Starring Julia, which won the Jury Prize at the Beirut International Film Festival – gained international recognition and established his voice as one rooted in intimacy, nostalgia, and human connection.

In 2025, Elie served as a member of the Shortlisting Jury at Cannes Lion in the Film Craft category, and his short film for Puck Arabia, Recipe for Change, telling the story of four women in war-stricken Beirut, won Gold at Cannes Lion International Festival.

Elie’s work often explores the beauty of everyday moments, blending simplicity with cinematic sensitivity. His personal films, including Things I Love and Life in 2 Minutes, have resonated widely for their honest, reflective tone – capturing fleeting emotions with a distinct visual rhythm. Today, he directs commercials, fashion films, and music videos across the MENA region, bringing a lyrical, human-centered approach to branded storytelling.

With Resolution Films, Elie has directed two Qatar National Day films for Hamad International Airport, National Day Pride in 2022 and, more recently, a short film covering the live performance of the Qatari Philharmonic Orchestra.
