Manu is a versatile award-winning Director/DOP with an impressive portfolio of nearly 140 commercials over the last 14 years

Originally from Belgium now based in South Africa, he started his carrier as a cinematographer, and quickly recognized by his peers, he became a proud member of the South African Society of Cinematographers (SASC).

Fourteen years ago, driven by a passion for storytelling, Manu transitioned his focus to exclusively directing TV commercials for international clients.

Manu’s versatility shines through in his ability to capture the essence of natural lifestyle commercials, crafting compelling narratives, or seamlessly mixing life action with CGI.

Having shot in more than 30 countries across Africa, Europe, the USA, the UAE, and India, Manu has left his creative imprint on international brands such as Lipton Iced Tea, Kellogg’s, premium beers and products from industry giants Pepsi Co and Coca Cola Co.

Recent accolades include a Cristal Award (Gold) at the Cristal festival 2023 in Morocco, a Bronze award at the 2023 Pitchers Awards, the African representative of the Cannes Festival. In 2022, he secured a Gold and a Silver at the Pitchers Awards, marking consistent excellence in his craft.
